American Asset Corporation (AAC) is proud to announce a successful refinancing of Fairview Plaza.

“The firm's principals have owned Fairview Plaza since 1979,” noted Paul Herndon, President of American Asset Corporation. “Continuous ownership of a commercial real estate project for over 45 years is almost unheard of, especially in a market like Charlotte,” Herndon added.

Herndon further noted that, “It is that long-term view on investing and generational ownership structure that has made a tremendous difference for AAC to navigate through one of the most challenging markets for financing office buildings.”

Fairview Plaza was one of the first mixed-use commercial real estate projects developed in the SouthPark area of Charlotte, North Carolina, one of the city’s most established and desirable commercial districts. The project is currently over 90% leased and comprises approximately 400,000 square feet, featuring office, retail, medical, and restaurant spaces.

Including Fairview Plaza, AAC has now closed multiple office loans this year, all of which were provided with financing from life insurance companies.
